Real Estate ● Paris
As of 2020, I am responsible for the real estate property and asset management of the fast-growing last-mile Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) portfolio in Southern Europe (Belgium, France, Italy & Spain). I also give support to the Global Specialty Fulfillment team (GSF / Prime Now) on landlord relations. Attached to Amazon's Paris HQ.
Acting as main point of contact between ownership, external vendors and other stakeholders and the wider Amazon team (Accountancy, Construction, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, Legal) in property-related issues during the operation of the asset.
Involvement includes:

Escalated and followed operational lease-related issues with landlords and Amazon stakeholders on a daily basis in local language (French, Italian, Spanish). Audited escalations to identify operational portfolio improvements.

Ensured projects initiated by Amazon (including portfolio-wide initiatives such as chargers for electric delivery vans) were performed with appropriate landlord and government consent if necessary.

Achieved average savings of €43k/month in property-related issues (e.g. reduction in common expenses, refunded improvement works, repairs, dilapidations, legacy issues, etc.).

Tracked real estate contracts and discussed with Launch and Transaction Team the renewals, extensions, early terminations and break-options of the portfolio. Worked with internal and external legal counsel and landlords to draft, negotiate / extend and terminate those leases, including dilapidations.
